Paisley Opera is a registered Charity (SC050683) that was started with a simple belief: Opera is for Everyone, and our ongoing work today holds true to that core belief.
Supporting Paisley Opera means backing work that connects community participants with professional artists and creates high-quality productions in Paisley itself. Recent work on Carmen brought together the community chorus, professional performers, local dancers, primary school pupils, professional musicians from the Orchestra of Scottish Opera, and professional creative, design and support staff.
Your support helps sustain a model of opera that is inclusive, collaborative and rooted in the lives of local people, as well as providing professional creative jobs locally in Scotland both on and back stage, and providing opportunities for work experience for local young people. When you become a regular Buddie of Paisley Opera, you’re doing far more than supporting a charity – you’re helping to keep a remarkable community alive.

As a Buddie, for a minimum donation of £5 per month, you’ll be at the heart of that journey. You’ll receive quarterly updates with some behind-the-scenes insights, and ensuring you’re always the first to hear about upcoming productions, community projects, and the impact your support is having, as well as having your name – or the name of someone you wish to memorialise – on our website, and early access to ticket sales!
